Volunteer: Development Administrative VolunteerVolunteer Job Description Position Title: Development Administrative Volunteer Program: Catholic Charities – Development Office Responsibilities for Volunteers include but are not limited to: · Assist Development staff with weekly preparation and mailing of gift acknowledgements. · Assist in answering inquiries regarding in-kind donations and connecting in-kind donors with case managers. · Assist the Development Manager in sorting donations reports and mailing lists. · Help coordinate weekly stewardship efforts as assigned by the Development Manager. · Provide assistance to Events Manager in sorting and preparing Annual Collection materials to distribute to parishes. · Assist Events Manager in the coordination of community activities as needed. · Assist the Development Manager on communication efforts. Qualifications: · Experience with computer literacy, printing and working with Microsoft Word and Excel. · Strong phone skills. · Ability to work with diverse groups of people in an atmosphere of collaboration and service. · Able to maintain confidentiality of donor and financial information. · Ability to communicate respectfully with employees, clients, and community members. · Must be self-motivated to do tasks as needed. · Bilingual is a plus (Spanish). · Will need to be fingerprinted and have a security clearance completed. Training: Attend a brief orientation and training with the Development Manager. Scheduling: This is flexible and should be decided with the Development Manager. Volunteers should be committed to participate at least 2 consecutive hours a week. Benefits: · Gaining experience working in a non-profit setting. · Gaining hands on experience in fundraising and development. · Opportunities to strengthen or develop new administrative skills. · Provide service to others.
