Volunteer Job Description

 

Position Title: Development Administrative Volunteer

 

Program: Catholic Charities – Development Office

 

Responsibilities for Volunteers include but are not limited to:

 

·       Assist Development staff with weekly preparation and mailing of gift acknowledgements.

·       Assist in answering inquiries regarding in-kind donations and connecting in-kind donors with case managers.

·       Assist the Development Manager in sorting donations reports and mailing lists.

·       Help coordinate weekly stewardship efforts as assigned by the Development Manager.

·       Provide assistance to Events Manager in sorting and preparing Annual Collection materials to distribute to parishes.

·       Assist Events Manager in the coordination of community activities as needed.

·       Assist the Development Manager on communication efforts.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

·       Experience with computer literacy, printing and working with Microsoft Word and Excel.

·       Strong phone skills.

·       Ability to work with diverse groups of people in an atmosphere of collaboration and service.

·       Able to maintain confidentiality of donor and financial information.

·       Ability to communicate respectfully with employees, clients, and community members.

·       Must be self-motivated to do tasks as needed.

·       Bilingual is a plus (Spanish).

·       Will need to be fingerprinted and have a security clearance completed.

 

 

Training:

Attend a brief orientation and training with the Development Manager.

 

Scheduling:

This is flexible and should be decided with the Development Manager. Volunteers should be committed to participate at least 2 consecutive hours a week.

This opportunity requires an interview with the Manager, and if you are selected, the Manager will schedule you for the months of December and January.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to assist our team as a Sacristan. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth and reverent execution of liturgical ceremonies and weekly services within our Catholic Charities of Central Florida (CCCF) community. Responsibilities include preparing the altar, liturgical vessels, and sacred items, ensuring the church environment is appropriately set up for worship, and coordinating with clergy and other CCCF staff members. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Catholic liturgy, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a sacred and welcoming worship space.

·        Prepare the altar, liturgical vessels, and necessary items for Mass and other sacramental celebrations.
·        Set up and maintain the church environment following liturgical guidelines.
·        Collaborate with clergy and other CCCF Staff to ensure a smooth flow of liturgical activities.
·        Maintain sacred items and coordinate their proper storage.
·        Oversee the arrangement of liturgical books and liturgical furnishings.
